Gloves: What's the difference between different materials?


In addition to hospital-sourced surgical gloves, most of us need disposable examination gloves.

According to different materials, disposable medical gloves are divided into four categories:

PVC gloves (including pvc gloves, mixed gloves)

Latex gloves

Nitrile gloves (including nitrile gloves and modified nano nitrile gloves)

The difference between different materials:

1. PVC gloves:

The advantageis that the price is cheap and there is no latex allergy.

Disadvantages are poor elasticity, air permeability, easy to sweat hurt hands, do not fit hands, use experience will be poor, not suitable for long-term wear. Pay attention to the plastic restrictions, PVC gloves are not easy to degrade, not very environmental protection

2. Latex gloves:

The advantage is that the main raw material comes from natural rubber, and the gloves have good elasticity and fit the hands.

The disadvantage is containing natural latex protein, easy to sensitize, allergic to latex products can not be used. Latex gloves are not grease tolerant and cannot be used in catering, petroleum related, food processing, etc. Not anti-static, not suitable for electronic manufacturing industry.

3. Nitrile gloves:

Advantages: No latex protein, no latex allergy; Grease resistance, solvent resistance, good chemical performance; Antistatic, can be used in the electronics manufacturing industry.

Disadvantages: insufficient elasticity, poor air permeability.

* However, there is an improved nano nitrile glove, which is also pure nitrile but has improved air permeability and elasticity, so it has a wider application range and can be fitted to the hand for a better experience.

    The inner surface of your gloves needs to be smooth and comfortable. Have you ever thought about the glove’s outer surface? Textured gloves happen to have a rough outer surface.
