Medical Nitrile Gloves Classification And Use Specifications

Nitrile gloves are an ideal substitute for latex gloves, highly conforming to the skin of the hand and offering superior comfort. Suitable for non-sterile operations with high risk of contact with blood or body fluids; operations involving sharp instruments, handling cytotoxic substances and disinfectants. According to the nature of work can be divided into: sterile gloves and non-sterile gloves, while non-sterile gloves are divided into cleaning and inspection gloves and housekeeping gloves.




Medical  nitrile gloves classification


Surgical sterile gloves

sterile single-use. They are mainly used for operations requiring a high degree of sterility, such as surgical operations, childbirth, central catheter placement, total gastrointestinal parenteral nutrition solution preparation, etc.


Clean examination gloves

Clean, non-sterile, single-use. It is used when directly or indirectly touching the patient’s blood, body fluids, secretions, excretions and items obviously contaminated by body fluids.

Housekeeping gloves

Cleaning is also for single use. Mainly used when not in direct contact with the human body, the cleaning of the environmental object table can be used for housekeeping gloves.

Requirements for the use of disposable gloves

Select gloves of suitable types and sizes according to the needs of different operations.

Clean gloves should be worn when in contact with patients’ blood, body fluids, secretions, excretions, vomit and contaminated objects.

Aseptic gloves should be worn when performing aseptic operations such as surgery and when contacting patients’ broken skin and mucous membranes.

Disposable gloves precautions

Gloves should be changed between patients with different treatment and care.

After the operation is completed, remove the gloves and wash hands according to the prescribed procedures and methods, wearing gloves is not a substitute for hand washing, and hand disinfection when necessary.

When the gloves are found to be broken during operation, they should be replaced in a timely manner.
